Can you tell us a little bit about yourself and your background?

Rikki McCoy: I’m Rikki Clark McCoy, a therapist and the founder of Flourishing Minds. My career in mental health began in 2010 when I joined the Suicide Prevention Program at the Georgia Department of Behavioral Health and Developmental Disabilities. Since then, I’ve had the privilege of working in a variety of clinical settings, providing comprehensive support across multiple areas of mental health. This includes offering 24/7 crisis line services for mental health and substance abuse needs throughout Georgia, working in both private and state inpatient psychiatric treatment facilities, and providing support in public schools in the metro Atlanta area.

I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) in Georgia, holding a Master of Social Work degree from Clark Atlanta University and a Bachelor of Science in Psychology from Fayetteville State University in North Carolina. I am also an active member of the Georgia Society for Clinical Social Workers. My professional experiences have deeply shaped my passion for empowering individuals to overcome challenges, grow, and thrive. At Flourishing Minds, I am committed to fostering mental health and well-being by providing compassionate care that supports clients at every stage of their journey.
